RAMADAN: Fasting Continues For Muslim Faithful As Moon Wears Face Mask

Muslim faithful in Nigeria to continue fasting till tomorrow May 23 as the new moon which signifies the end of Ramadan was not sighted this evening May 22.

So many Muslims believed today will mark the end of the Ramadan fast and tomorrow will be Eid Fitri celebration which signifies the end of the fast.

But, the hope has been dashed out as fasting continues tomorrow May 23 while the Eid Fitri celebration is billed to hold on Sunday May 24. This was reported by the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria

“There was no positive sighting report of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria, tomorrow is 30th Ramadan. An official statement from the Sultanate will be released shortly.”
